Tennis Ball Self Massage
A tennis ball: The most convenient, least expensive way to give
yourself an excellent massage. This is a great way to reach those hard
to reach places, and an excellent way to regulate the pressure so that
it is perfectly what you want.
A super-fast way to relax the entire body
is to follow the steps below, using the ball on the bottom of your
foot, at the point near where the big toe and the second toe meet.
STEP 1: Place tennis ball on the floor.
STEP 2: Place body part on top of ball. In terms of
the foot, this is pretty self explanatory, but with other body parts
you will have to lie on the floor on top of the ball, positioning
yourself so that the ball is applying pressure to the muscle you want
to massage.
STEP 3: SLOWLY apply pressure to the muscle with
the ball. Do not go too fast. It is very easy to sink too quickly and
do more harm than good. GO SLOW... even if it feels like it's not
enough pressure, it's better to be safe.
There you go! Instant self massage!
If you have been working on the foot you
will notice when you stand up that one side of the BODY is relaxed and
the other still feels tense. Be sure to balance everything out by
working on the other foot.
