Massage Therapy Supplies

There are so many different massage therapy supplies on the market today. How do you know what you need and what the best items are for you needs?

The Basics

These are the basic massage supplies I bring and use in every session.

Every massage therapist needs a massage table, unscented massage oil or massage lotion, sheets and music. It's also a good idea to bring disinfectant wipes.

If you are doing chair massage, then you will need a massage chair, massage lotion, face cradle towel liners and antibacterial gel and/or wipes.

I also consider a timer to be very important (but some therapist prefer to be more lax about time boundaries).

Also, always bring with you a few pairs of latex gloves and/or finger cots, some garbage bags and Krazy Glue.

The Extras: Gettin' Fancy!

Addtional massage therapy supplies yhou may want that will greatly enhance the massage therapy experience are:

  • Padding for the Table and/or Face Cradle
  • Aromatherapy Massage Oil or Aromatherapy Massage Lotion
  • Heating pad for the table
  • Dried Sage (to clean the energy in the room and around you and the client)
  • Body and massage brushes
  • Candles
  • Towels and Towel Warmers
